The MN DNR stocked 100 adult Northern Pike into Long Lake this afternoon (12/5/2025). They also stocked 25 adult Northern Pike into Everest pond that connects to Long Lake. The idea is that the Pike will feed on the Goldfish population, which should help improve water quality and vegetation in Everest Pond and Long Lake since Goldfish are bottom feeders.
