Long Lake Park Shoreline Improvements

The vegetation clearing along Long Lake was completed as part of general maintenance and shoreline cleanup efforts. The work included the removal of invasive/nuisance vegetation to help improve the health and appearance of the area, while also providing better lake access for residents interested in recreational use. Vegetation was also cleared adjacent to the iron enhanced sand filter to ensure proper function.

In addition, Tamarack trees were planted along the shoreline to support both stabilization and aesthetics. We are also evaluating the possibility of planting River Birch trees in the future. Reed Canary grass along the park shoreline was treated as part of the maintenance work, and we are exploring opportunities to establish native seed mixes in the area as well.
