Plant Surveys - Summer 2025

To generally assess the health of Long Lake, and specifically to see the impact of the Spring treatment of Curlyleaf Pondweed (CLP), two Plant Surveys are conducted late June and late July. The consultant's (Steve McKomis from Blue Water Science) net message from the late June plant survey is:

"There was good control of CLP in the treatment areas.  We found CLP at 5 other sites (of 44), but at low densities.  There was also damaged CLP outside of the treatment area.  It is not likely to grow to the surface."

When we receive the consultant's report from the late July Plant survey, we will let LLWA members know the results.
